Sometimes known as ‘Sweet Genovese’, one of the most common and popular basil varieties. It is also the traditional basil for making pesto. (See our recipes below for homemade pesto and other uses for basil).

Greek Basil

Greek and Bush Basil are very similar. Both are small compact plants with heads packed with very small leaves. Fantastic on pizzas where the leaves can just be stripped of the stalk with no need for tearing.

This basil also makes a great houseplant both for decoration, fragrance, but as a bonus it keeps the flies away. Great in summer.
